Radio Textual Analysis

I have chosen to analyse two adverts from the radio station Heart FM. I chose this radio station because it plays local adverts from my area and this would be the likely radio station that would play my advert because my product would be low budget. However I would not get as higher a target audience as I would from the radio station Radio one, his station’s target audience is the same as my product however it would be more expensive to advertise my product and because my product is relatively cheap I would be able to advertise on this station. This research will help me identify the structure of how my advert should be and some element that I should include.

2. Toby Carvery.
About how Prudence Gowns can make a wedding special,: woman’s voice with quiet happy music in the background. What the product name is, what they are selling, the range of products, Says range of products. What the product name is, what they are selling, the convince you to by product “start your wedding experience.” Then says where the shop is located. Then slogan “Prudence gowns, dressing your dreams”

British music plays, male voice. Talks about roast dinners and how different people want different meals and how you should be eating your meals. It then list local history and relates it to how you should be eating the food. Different voice says about how you should eat your roasts at the Toby Carvery. Then says slogan “Toby Carvery, just as it should be”

I have learnt that my radio advert should have a slogan, use music to set the scene for the advert, use the name of the product name a few times and how to buy the producy (/ service). Also these adverts are usualy light hearted through the music and are humourous. My advert should containe these features.
